Fitting Tips

  • Dr. Martens boots and shoes are measured in UK sizing. Use the table above to convert to your local size.
  • New Dr. Martens can feel stiff, this is normal. The leather upper will soften and mould to your foot shape with wear over the first few weeks.
  • If you are between sizes, we generally recommend sizing up for boots and sizing true for shoes and sandals.
  • For styles with thick soles (such as the 1460 boot), your foot sits higher inside the boot, ensure the ankle collar sits comfortably without rubbing.
  • Wear thick socks during the break-in period to help stretch the leather and protect your feet from blisters.

Measuring Your Feet

Always measure your feet wearing socks unless the style is made to be worn with bare feet. Use your largest foot to take the measurement, and if unsure, measure both and use the larger measurement.

What you'll need: A ruler or tape measure, a pen and a blank piece of paper (A4 or larger)

Place your foot on paper with heel against the wall

Place the short end of the paper against a wall. Place your largest foot on the paper with your heel against the wall, so that your heel is equal with the edge of the paper.

Mark where your longest toe ends

Without moving your foot, use the pen to mark where your longest toe ends. Step off the paper.

Measure from the edge of the paper to the line

Using your ruler or tape measure, measure from the edge of the paper to the line you have drawn. You can now use this measurement to determine your shoe size.

Statement-making from knee to toe in Dark Brown. The Kasey boot is towering yet wearable in Kinsley Tumble leather — with a lightly grainy appearance that will develop a unique patina over time. The boot is built on our chunky, flared Ardern heel that’s marked with distinctive grooves. The heel steps out slightly from the silhouette of the boot for an even more exaggerated profile. Kasey is fitted with an inside zip for easy on/off wear and finished with a black and yellow scripted heel loop.

Fitting Notes: this ones a women's fit, but on the roomy side. My women's size 8 feet are great in the uk6, as the uk5 would be a little small, but I could do for thin inner to take up a little space. Slight pressure on the sides of my feet, I'm starting to get bunions, but plenty of wiggle room on the toes. I have skinny calves and they are a little wide over the top of my skinny jeans, but so cool!
