Crocs Getaway – FAQs
Do Crocs Getaway sandals fit true to size?
Most customers find Crocs Getaway sandals fairly true to size, with a slightly roomier feel. If you have narrow feet or are between sizes, we usually suggest trying the smaller size for a more secure fit. You can also check measurements and fit tips on our Crocs Size Guide.
Are the straps comfortable, or do they rub?
The straps are made with Crocs’ Free Feel™ technology, designed to feel soft and flexible from the first wear. Like most sandals, a small number of people may feel a bit of rubbing at first, but the material usually softens quickly. Wearing them for shorter periods during the first few days can help break them in comfortably.
How high is the Crocs Getaway platform?
Most Crocs Getaway styles feature a platform of around 35 mm (1.3"). This gives you a little extra height while still feeling stable and easy to walk in. If you love the comfort of classic Crocs but want a sleeker, more elevated look, Getaway is a great choice.
Where can I wear Crocs Getaway sandals?
Crocs Getaway sandals are designed for everyday wear – perfect for beach days, bach weekends, casual office outfits, travel days, school runs and everything in between. Pair them with shorts, dresses, linen sets or activewear for an easy, relaxed summer look.
What is your shipping and returns policy for Crocs Getaway?
We ship from within New Zealand, so your new sandals arrive quickly. If the size or fit isn’t quite right, you can return or exchange them in line with our standard policy. Please see our Shipping & Returns page for full details.
Can I wear Crocs Getaway sandals for long walks or all-day use?
Yes — many wearers report using them for holidays, city days, errands and all-day outings thanks to the cushioned Croslite™ footbed and lightweight upper. One reviewer even said: “Really comfortable, never rubbed at all. I used these for a holiday with a lot of walking.” They’re ideal for everyday wear, though not designed for rugged hiking terrain.
How do Crocs Getaway sandals fit compared to classic Crocs clogs?
Getaway sandals can feel more open and slightly wider across the straps than classic clogs. Some customers with narrow feet or those between sizes choose to size down for a more secure fit. For fit tips and measurements, see the Crocs Size Guide.
Are the Getaway platforms stable to walk in?
The platform height is around 35 mm (1.3”). Most customers find them stable for day-to-day wear because the platform is even and the footbed supportive. If you're used to completely flat shoes, you may notice the height at first, but most users adjust quickly.
Are Crocs Getaway sandals easy to clean?
Yes — the seamless upper and Croslite™ footbed make them very low-maintenance. They can be rinsed after beach use to remove sand, then left to dry in the shade. Avoid leaving them in high heat or direct sunlight for long periods to protect the material.
Do Crocs Getaway sandals work with Jibbitz™ charms?
Some Getaway styles may, most don't support Jibbitz™ charms (depending on the strap layout). If the design has charm holes, you can personalise them just like classic Crocs. Check your chosen style’s images or product description for compatibility.
Why do some colours or sizes sell out so quickly in NZ?
Certain colours — especially neutrals or seasonal shades — can sell out fast due to high demand. Some customers note that favourite colours are discontinued between seasons. If your preferred colour or size is gone, you can sign up for back-in-stock updates or choose a similar tone in the current range.
