If you've spent years sizing up to get width, and ending up with shoes that slip at the heel, this collection is for you. These are shoes built on genuinely wider lasts, with depth through the forefoot and toe box, rather than a standard shoe in a bigger size.
Wide fitting footwear makes a real difference if you have bunions, hammer toes, swelling, a high instep, or simply a broad foot. It also matters if you wear orthotics, because a wider shoe gives a device somewhere to sit without crowding your toes.
Understanding Ziera's fittings
Ziera is our go-to for wide fitting women's shoes, and their sizing runs a little differently:
- M Medium. Slightly less room than W.
- W Wide. Ziera's standard fit, and it suits most people.
- XW Extra Wide. More room over the instep and across the forefoot.
- XF "Your Feet, Your Fit". Built on the XW last and supplied with forefoot inserts, so you can add or remove room yourself. Ideal if you have a wide forefoot but a narrower heel.
Getting the fit right
You don't need to size up to get a wider fit, the extra room is in the width, not the length. Take your usual size and let the fitting do the work.
